Richard Sawayoshi Iwata, 86, of Pearl City, an Army veteran, died in Ewa Beach. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Frances T., sons Owen and Eric, brother Herbert, sisters Sumiye Kimura and Fujie Iwatani, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Private services.
