Randall Aden PrattRANDALL ADEN PRATT CLU,
90, formerly of Kailua, Oahu, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at home in Kurtistown, Hawaii. He was born on December 27, 1921 in Rising City, Nebraska. Randy Pratt was a retired insurance sales manager for Sun Life of Canada and Standard of Oregon. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran; a former member of the Hawaii Army National Guard; a past president of the Rotary Club of Honolulu; and a volunteer for the Salvation Army of Honolulu. He will be fondly remembered for his fruit trees which fed the family and neighborhood; as beekeeper and honey supplier to many; as an excavator of antique bottles and Hawaiian artifacts; as an amateur water colorist; as a faithful poker club member; and for his love of teaching and sharing with others. He was a wonderful father, husband, friend, and neighbor. Mr. Pratt is survived by son John (Lani) Pratt of Kurtistown, Hawaii; daughters Victoria Pratt of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Kathleen (Don) Breazeal of Portland, Oregon; sister Thelma Henderson of Seward, Nebraska; sister-in-law Pauline Spence of Beatrice, Nebraska; caregiver and dear friend Elvie Mason of Keaau, Hawaii; four grandchildren, four great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and former wife Charlotte Yates. Mr. Pratt was predeceased by his wife of fifty years, and mother of his children, Julie Brannen Pratt, and daughter Polly. Private services have been held.
