81Richard Augustine DeSa, 71, of Pepeekeo, Hawaii, a retired regional manager for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was also a former professional baseball player in Japan with the Daimai Orions and Kintetsu Buffaloes. He was born in Honomu, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Kotone, sons Richard Y. Jr. and Dean S., daughter Susie M. Dill, brothers Joseph Jr. and William, sisters Shirley Ferreira and Marilyn De Costa, and nine grandchildren. Visitation: 4 p.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 5 p.m. Graveside urn committal services: 10 a.m. Monday at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire.
