HENRY M. KANEHAILUA Virginia Beach, VA - Henry M. "Hanalei" Kanehailua, 51, died Sunday, December 23, 2012. Hanalei was born in San Francisco, CA to Henry and Harriet Ing Kanehailua. He was a veteran having retired from the U.S. Navy, enjoyed writing, spending time at the beach and above all, being with his family. Hanalei was predeceased by his wife, Tammy. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Joey J. Arata, Stacey C. Rosales, Malia J. Kanehailua and Kamalei "Kumu" Kanehailua, all of Virginia Beach; parents, Henry and Harriet Kanehailua of HI; siblings, Harry M. Hanehailua of HI and Heidi Kuia of HI; grandchildren, Keilana and Jozlyn Updyke; nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. A funeral service was held on December 29, 2012 in Virginia.
