75Sherman Merle, 90, of Kilauea, Kauai, formerly of Florida, a retired college professor, died in Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born in New York. He is survived by wife Gertrude, daughters Fern Merle-Jones and Carol Fishman, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Kauai Veterans Cemetery, Hanapepe.
