DR. STEVEN KEITH DEWITT
64, of Kaneohe, HI, died December 26, 2012 in Kailua, HI. Born August 7, 1948 in Monett, MO. At the time of his death he was the Acting Medical Director of the Halawa Correctional Facility. He received his undergraduate degree with distinction from the University of Hawaii at Manoa; his Doctor of Medicine from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO., and completed the UH Integrated Medical Residency Program. He practiced Internal Medicine in Ohio, Virginia, and Hawaii. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Beth" Wyld DeWitt; parents, Keith and Evelyn DeWitt; children, Keith, Ryan and Jason Payne; five siblings and their spouses: Mike and Ruthann DeWitt, Jan and Ed Watson, Gary and Mary DeWitt, Tricia and Jay McKay, and Beth and Jeff Hyde; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dr. DeWitt lived a life of service and will be greatly missed by his patients, colleagues, friends and family. Services in Hawaii and Missouri will be announced at a later date.
