George Masayoshi Obata, 81, of Kaneohe, owner of Aloha Poi Bowl and Spanky's, and an Army veteran, died. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Dorothy A.; son Blake; daughters Arlene Kim, Dale Nakata and Jan Lim; brothers Harry, Richard and Walter; sisters Myrtle Nishii and Shirley Lee; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Graveside services: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. No flowers.
