David Phillip Paiva, 85, of Hilo, former proprietor of Aloha Taxi and an Army veteran who served in World War II, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Eileen, son Robert, daughter Tricia and brother Antone. Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
