WAYNE ASAO YAMAMOTOWAYNE ASAO YAMAMOTO
Wayne Asao Yamamoto ("Yama"), born 10/16/1944, died 1/19/2013 after a long bout with Congestive Heart Failure at the age of 68. He's a graduate of Waianae High School Class of 1963. He became a roofer and later part owner of Keneke Roofing Company. He was very active in his community; coaching Little League Baseball, also a Leeward Conference Commissioner and coach for Pop Warner Football League. He served on the Board of Directors for the Pacific Palisades Community and a board member of The Valley of the Giants Hawaiian Club. SGT. of Arms with the Roofers Union Local 221. An avid net fisherman, he loved the ocean, camping and family gatherings. He is survived by wife Carol of 48 1/2 years, 6 sons, 2 daughters, 14 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. He lived a happy and fulfilling life becoming a Jehovah's Witness for the Pearl City Congregation; he will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Visitation 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013 Mililani Mortuary, Mauka Chapel; services 6:30 p.m.; Scattering of Ashes: Private.
