Dan Joseph "Danny Boy" Grotkin, 63, of Keaau, Hawaii, a supervisor for the former Hamakua Sugar Co., a Puna Flowers & Foliage supervisor and a Marine Corps veteran who served in the Vietnam War, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born in Iowa. He is survived by sons Joshua Grotkin and Cash W. Helman, daughters Rebekah Grotkin and Kristine Ganir, brothers David and Tom, sisters Cathy Boeing and Teri Stevens, former wife Sally McKay and five grandchildren. Celebration of life:9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Kolekole Beach Park pavilion. Casual attire.
