James K. "Longie" Kupahu Sr., 73, of Nanawale Estates, Hawaii, a retired city heavy equipment operator, died at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Gwendolyn L.; sons James "Kimo" Jr., Michael and Nakuluai Maave-Kupahu, and Lloyd Teanio; daughters Jaime Kahalepo, Darrlynn Kupahu-Canon, Lloydette Teanio and Malie Kupahu; brother Manuel E. Jr.; sisters Jacqueline Kalima, Leihalaopuna Vigneaux and Lana Johnson; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation:10 a.m. Saturday at Maku‘u Farmers Market on Highway 130, Pahoa, Hawaii. Celebration of life:11 a.m. Luncheon to follow. Additional services:11:30 a.m. June 8 at Waimanalo BeachPark, Oahu. Scattering of ashes and luncheon to follow. Casual attire. No flowers.
