March 21, 2013 Raymond Vincent Tiwanak, age 91, of Pearl City, an Army veteran and retired jet engine master mechanic of Pan American Airways died in St. Francis Hospice-West. He was born in Makaweli, Kauai and raised in Kakaako. He also resided in Damon Tract, John Rodgers Civilian Housing Area-3, and on Noelani Street in Pearl City. He was skilled in the art of Central Hawaiian Activity-3 Kenpo and boxing, and was a retired member of the Pan American Association. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Kalei Paele; and brothers, Marino (Vivian), Robert (Molly) and Stanley (Dorothy). He is survived by sons Eugene N. (Mary Juanita); Eric K. (Gail); daughter Eileen P.; sisters Gladys Sevener (Alan); and Thelma (Thomas) Ligsay; family Rizalino (Barbara) Tolentino; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 9, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Pearl City. Mass and Eulogy at 10:30 a.m. Burial at Diamond Head Cemetery, at 12:45 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
