Akira Ishii, 88, of Koloa, Kauai, a Kauai County Department of Water cashier and an Army veteran, died in Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born in Koloa. He is survived by wife Linda; sons James and Shane; brother Takeshi; sisters Hatsue Maeda, Haruko Otsubo, Tomiko Kabazawa and Lillian Makizuru; and five grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday at Kauai Veterans Cemetery pavilion. Services: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at the cemetery.
