Wilfred Edward "Slack Key Willie" Pereira, 76, of Kailua-Kona, a project chief and research chemist for the U.S. Geological Survey, died in Kaiser Medical Center. He was born in Madras, India. He is survived by wife Irene; sons Richard and Phillip Lozano; daughters Lizabeth Hurst and Rosemary Pereira; brother Peter; sisters Sheila Sleep, Marjorie Tobit, Phoebe John, Pauline D'Souza, Anne Philips, Claire Pereira and Christina and Pamela Bensley; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Sunday at Grace Community Church, 74-4889 Palani Road, Kailua-Kona. Casual attire.
