Warren Joseph Ferreira, 73, of Hilo, formerly of Honolulu, a retired Honolulu Police Department deputy chief of police, Outrigger Hotels director of security and University of Hawaii-Hilo director of campus security, died in Pohai Malama hospice facility, Hilo. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Cindy Kerrigan-Ferreira; son James J.; daughters Wendy Ilac-Ferreira, Lynn "Kehau" Ferreira-Anglin and Stacy Clayton; stepbrothers Billy, Marvin, Roy and Rocky Freitas; stepsisters Paulette Vecasey and Linda Holstein; and six grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Wednesday at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. Additional visitation: 11 a.m. Saturday at Borthwick Mortuary, Honolulu. Services at noon. Private urn committal services.
