Frank Esser, 88, of Kailua, an entrepreneur and an Army veteran, died in Kailua. He was born in Boonville, Mo. He is survived by sons James Fenton and Nick Van Hevelingen, daughters Sharon Esser and Betsy Chavarria, brother Walter W. and three grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony's Church, Kailua. Private inurnment at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Aloha attire. Donations suggested to Knights of Columbus Council 6307.
