Robert "Hachi" Tanabe, 87, of Aiea, a retired Dole Corp. employee and an Army veteran, died in Pearl City. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son Merle; daughters Linda Florendo, Karen Morneau and Patti Tanabe; sister Chiyo Nakamoto; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel. Services: 6 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
