80Gilbert S. Garcia, 85, of Hilo, a retired merchant marine, died. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Eleanor; sons Gilbert Garcia, John Hernandez and Frank Figueroa; daughters Maria Kaneakoa, Esther Palimoo, Cynthia Ng, Linda Oducado, Lydia Neopolitan, Martha Wilbourn, Barbina Padillo and Dolores and Patricia Ortiz; 69 grandchildren; 98 great-grandchildren; and 54 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Friday at Crossnet Ministries International, Hilo. Services: 11:30 a.m. Cremation: 2 p.m. at Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home.
