Shinei Yamakawa, also known as "Kenneth" and "Hide," 91, of Honolulu, a retired federal government bookkeeper and an Army veteran, died in Leahi Hospital. He was born in Wahiawa. He is survived by daughters Gwen K.Y. Chong, and Amy M. and Fay A. Yamakawa; brothers Jitsumi, Toshi, Yeichi and Akira; and two grandchildren. Private services.
