ADELINA VILLELA DE SOUZA MATSUI, M.D. Dr. Adelina Matsui, age 88, passed away June 3, 2013 in Honolulu. Born Mar. 1, 1925 in Ituiutaba-Brazil. Medical degree (1950) University of Minas Gerais, School of Medicine; research fellow in medicine Harvard College, Peter Bent Brigham Hospital (1958-1959); research fellow in endocrinology University of Washington, School of Medicine (1962-1964). Retired from private practice (Internal Medicine) in Kailua. Predeceased by husband Dr. Masato Matsui and sisters Yvone de Souza Vasconcellos and Yone de Souza Ferreira of Brazil. Survived by sister Yole Villela de Souza Alvarenga of Brasilia-Brazil, nephews and nieces. Private scattering of ashes.
