Maurice Viernes, 77, of Kapolei, a heavy equipment operator and a Marine Corps veteran, died in St. Francis Hospice West. He was born in Hawaii. He is survived by sons Joey and Alfred, daughter Eunice Kekoa, brothers Albert Viernes and Harry Honda, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. July 25 at Borthwick Mortuary. Services: 10 a.m. Inurnment: 2 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. Aloha or casual attire. No flowers.
