Henry G. “Zap” ZapataHenry G. "Zap" Zapata (CW02) US Army Retired Passed away November 29, 2012 at his home in Fircrest, WA. Formerly of Iliaina Street, Kailua, Zap was born July 15, 1931 in Corpus Christi, TX. He worked 44 years for the US government, serving 22 years with the US Army and 22 years at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard shop 06 as a crane maintenance supervisor. He is survived by his wife, Mary, stepmother, Tomasa Zapata of Corpus Christi, TX, four sons Henry Jr. of Long Beach, CA, Irwin, Joey and Ronnie Zapata, daughter Anuhea (Ricky) Daley of Fircrest, WA, three hanai daughters G. Kaui (Ben) Fernandez, L. Pinky (John) Kahaloa, and Bonnie-Lynn Versola, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Inurnment will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl), Monday, July 01, 2013 at 10:30 am. Family requests no flowers.
