Richard Clarence Tollefsen
RICHARD CLARENCE TOLLEFSEN Born March 28, 1943 in Kahuku, Hawaii-Died June 24, 2013 at his home in Provo, Utah of a heart attack. He was preceded in death by his parents Olaf Edward Tollefsen and Elizabeth Lane of Molokai, Hawaii, brother Olaf, and his first wife Jurate Ramonas Tollefsen Stage. He is survived by his wife Kathy Sorensen Brown Tollefsen, children, Luana Williams (Mike), Richard Takemoto, Teryl Soren, brothers, James and Stephen Tollefsen, and numerous nieces and nephews in Hawaii. He is also survived by Kathy's children Sasha, Sean, Summer and Kuulei and 20 grandchildren all of whom loved him dearly and he loved them in return. Richard was a casualty of the terrible war of Vietnam. In the last twelve years of his life he found his Savior Jesus Christ which not only brought meaning to his life but peace to his soul. This enabled him to function in a readymade family with all the vicissitudes of life and find happiness. Funeral services will be held at the Provo Grandview 16th Ward, 1260 West 1150 North Provo, Utah on Monday, Jul 1, 2013, beginning with a viewing at 10AM to 10:45 followed by services at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Hills, at 4800 North 650 Provo, Utah. Arrangements by Berg Mortuary.
