He is survived by wife, Yukie Panela; sons, Andrew (Julie) Panela, Alfred (Teri) Panela, Michael Runnels; daughters, June (James) Marr, Rowena (Kermit) Hanson, Faye (Dean) Hara, Charlotte Runnels, Lu Ann Runnels; brother, William (Carmen) Valera; sister, Beatrice (George) Cabral; 12 grandchildren; 3 great- grandchildern. Visitation 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (July 3) at Mililani Downtown Mortuary (20 South Kukui St., Honolulu); Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. Committal Service 1:00 p.m. at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
