John Clyde "J.C." Johnson, 84, of Papaikou, Hawaii, a retired dock operator at Petrospect, farmer and handyman, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Garber, Okla. He is survived by wife Ellen H., sons Mark and David, daughter Margaret Anne, sister Virginia Bracken and three grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at Hilo United Methodist Church, 374 Waianuenue Ave. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Potluck to follow. Aloha attire.
