BARBARA JANE YOUNG Age 82, of Kapolei, HI, passed away May 22, 2013 in Kapolei. Born April 1, 1931 in Honolulu, HI. Barbara Jane passed away surrounded by her loved ones at home in Kapolei. She grew up in Honolulu during World War II as the eldest daughter of 11 children. Barbara moved to the mainland in the 50's, traveled and lived in several states and Japan. California was her home until she moved back to Hawaii in the early 80's. She graduated from Farrington High School in 1949 and was an active '49er alumnus at class reunions with her husband. Predeceased by her husband Lawrence Young, daughter Georgette Rawls and parents John & Helena Awong. She is survived by sons, Allan (Venus) Jardine, George (Eleanor) Davis III, Dean Davis, Ollie Davis, John Davis, Brian (Lecia) Davis; daughters, Gail (Darrell) Ortiz-Jardine, Rene (George) Bowyer; brothers, Gilmore Awong, Paul Awong; 36 grandchildren; 79 great- grandchildren; 5 great-great- grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, & sister-in- laws. Visitation 9:00 a.m. Saturday (July 13) at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel; Memorial Service 10:30 a.m. Casual Attire. Flowers Welcome.
