Janet Ruth Kaneta, 80, of Kapolei, a Hawaiian-studies teacher and an Air Force veteran, died in the Queen's Medical Center. She was born in Hawaii. She is survived by son Brian Hirose, daughters Karen Sue Marquez and Francine Kaneta-Souza, sister Charla Irvine and four grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. July 29 at Borthwick Mortuary.
