Robert Kaiwa Punihaole Sr., 90, of Kalaoa, Kona, Hawaii, a Hawaiian cultural adviser at Kuki‘o, died. He was born in Kaukaweli, North Kona, Hawaii, and was also a supervisor at Kona Shield Pacific, a Volcanite heavy equipment mechanic and an Army veteran who served in World War II. He is survived by sons Robert Jr. and Clayton, daughter Cynthia, half sisterRose Miyamoto, eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Services:10:30 a.m. Saturday at Honpa Honwanji on Pali Highway. Casual attire. No flowers. Call 895-1010.
