KECIA ARIZUMI OKUDA Mar 10, 1967 - July 22, 2013 Santa Cruz California Kecia Arizumi Okuda, 46, resident of Santa Cruz, CA lost her fight with cancer on July 22, 2013. She passed peacefully at home with her husband by her side. Kecia was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and is survived by her husband Craig, mother Lori Arizumi, brother Brett, sister Leah and two golden retrievers, Lucy and Kula. Kecia grew up in Oahu's Manoa valley and attended Punahou School in Honolulu. She went on to attend UCSB and graduated from the University of Hawai'I with her BFA. After graduating, she worked for Patagonia in Haleiwa, Hawaii and in Ventura, CA. In 2000 she moved to Santa Cruz, California where she married Craig Okuda. In Santa Cruz she attended Cabrillo College and enjoyed caring for her beloved dogs. She will be remembered for her wry smile, a sarcastic sense of humor and her quick wit. Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Nature Conservancy are suggested.
