72Ethel Umeka Shimomura, 99, of Napili, Maui, a retired Mauian Hotel employee, died at home. She was born in Haiku, Maui. She is survived by sons Stanley, Ralph, Melvin, Keith, Dennis, Ernest and Corwin; daughters Carolyn Kidani and Diane Erickson; 19 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at Lahaina Hongwanji Mission. Services: 11 a.m. No flowers.
