Wesley Verne Carpenter, 78, of Kaneohe, a retired state carpenter and an Army veteran, died in Castle Medical Center. He was born in Sanford, N.Y. He is survived by wife Fumiko S.; sons Anthony B. and Shawn M.; brothers Morris, Leroy and David; sisters Alberta Munn, Nancy Morris and Linda Naples; and three grandchildren. Private services.
