Frederic William Hoanu’ili Brownig
FREDERIC WILLIAM HOANU'ILI BROWNING Colonel, US Army Retired, died in Honolulu, Hawaii 5 August 2013. He served his country for over fifty years. When asked what he did, he would always say "I was just a Soldier". He attended Hilo Union School and graduated from the Kamehameha School for Boys class of 1955. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Nebraska and University of Southern California. Survived by his beloved wife Judith Grant Browning (born Hartford, Connecticut currently residing Honolulu, Hawaii), sister Wilhelmina Addie Mililani Browning Osborn (born Hilo, Hawaii currently residing Dallas, Texas) and brother, Thomas Moku Browning (born Hilo, Hawaii currently residing Kona, Hawaii). He was the son of Dudley Cather Browning (born 1894 Cripple Creek, Colorado died 1946 Kealakekua, Hawaii) and Rebecca Kealohanu'i Roback Browning (born 1904 Hilo, Hawaii died 1962 Hilo, Hawaii). Services are private. Ashes will be spread into the Wailuku River from the middle bridge.
