William Haruo Takata, 84, of Hilo, a former E.E. Black Construction Co. employee, auto body technician for I. Kitagawa & Co. and Bert's Autobody, and an Army veteran who served in the Korean War, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by stepson Wayne Wagatsuma, brother Howard, sister Janet Van Cleef, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation: 3 p.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 4 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
