THERESA LIHILIHIOKEANUENUE SPRINGER HOHU Aunty Theresa, Kona ma ka mokupuni o Keawe, one of eight children, was born in Kailua-Kona September 18, 1925 to Mary Malia O Ke Kea Aiu Springer and Malcolm Springer. She graduated from Konawaena High School. She was the widow of Edmund W. Hohu. Theresa was employed with the Hawaiian Telephone Company for nearly 40 years starting as an operator retiring as an executive secretary. She was a talented musician, skilled Hawaiiana artisan, quilter, lauhala weaver, doll and clothing designer, and seamstress. Aunty Theresa passes away peacefully last Friday at the Hilo Medical Center. She brought joy and happiness to all she encountered. Her services will be held Saturday, September, 14, 2013, in Hilo at the Kuhio Chapel, Keaukaha with visitation beginning at 9 AM, funeral service at 10 AM. Private burial. The family requests Aloha Attire and that flowers be omitted.
