Walter Gentry Creed, 81, of Kailua, a professor of English for the University of Hawaii at Manoa and an Army veteran, died in Kailua. He was born in Philadelphia. He is survived by wife Victoria, daughters Jennifer Cornish Creed and Daria Puana, brother Robert and two grandchildren. Private services. No flowers. Donations suggested to Doctors Without Borders, Union of Concerned Scientists, St. Francis Hospice or Chamber Music of Hawaii.
