PETER SANSEVEROPETER SANSEVERO Peter Sansevero, husband, father, brother, colleague and friend, dies at 80 from complications of Alzheimer's disease, after living a life filled with love, success, and determination. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Maureen (Ahern), son Peter Sansevero Jr. and his wife Kim and their daughter Gina, and daughter Shannon, her husband Thatcher Davis and their three children Jardin, Latham, and Tristan, his sister Rose Renna, brother Louie Sansevero, step-brother Salvatore Serpe as well as 45 nieces and nephews. In 1969, he opened the first of four Merrill Lynch offices in the State of Hawaii and Guam. It was also the time were he fell in love with the Islands, a love that lasted a lifetime. He was an avid member of the Washington Athletic Club, Outrigger Canoe Club, The Pacific Club, Waialae Country Club, and Round Hill Country Club. He served with Aloha United Way, Junior Achievement, and The Boy Scouts of America, and on the Board of the San Francisco Symphony. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 2039 Mt Diablo Blvd, Walnut Creek, on October 9, 2013 at 10am. A Memorial Reception will follow at Round Hill Country Club, 3169 Roundhill Road, Alamo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the East Bay.
