John Melvin Ferreira, 76, of Waialua, a retired federal employee and Army National Guard veteran, died in Wahiawa. He was born in Wailuku. He is survived by wife Roseline K.; sons Dennis K. and Darren M.; daughters Shirley Ann K. Santiago, Lisa Gay Dewald and Jonnine M. Pugh; brother James; sisters Nellie May Fernandez, Juliet Medeiros and Barbara Pinheiro; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Mililani Mortuary-Waipio, mauka chapel. Services: 6 p.m. Program: 6:30 p.m. Additional visitation: 9:30 a.m. Friday at the mortuary.
