81Mae Setsuko Kawahara, 77, of Hilo, a retired state Department of Education kindergarten teacher at Haaheo Elementary School in Hilo, died in the Queen's Medical Center. She was born in Kainaliu, Kona. She is survived by husband Karl K., son Keith, daughter Kim Raymond, sisters Jeanette Tinnel and Annette Sato, and four grandchildren. Visitation: 2 p.m. Saturday at Church of the Holy Cross in Hilo, 440 W. Lanikaula St., Celebration of life: 4 p.m. Aloha attire.
