76Haruko Akiyama, 96, of Keaau, Hawaii, retired proprietor of Akiyama Store and an American Mutual Life Insurance Co. agent, died at home. She was born in Hilo. She is survived by sons Ben and Alvin, daughters Aileen Yanagihara and Karen Akiyama-Paik, brothers Frank and Henry Iwashita, sister Amy Kamiyama, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Puna Hongwanji. Services: 3:30 p.m. Reception to follow at Keaau Community Center. Casual attire. No flowers.
