74Joseph Walter "J" Conner, 71, of Hilo, owner of the Home Place, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Detroit. He is survived by wife Ma Catherine Jane Jarque "Rose," brother Tim and sister Nancy Westhoff. Visitation: 8 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire. No flowers.
