KENNETH K. IKEDA Kenneth K. Ikeda, 83, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on July 17, 2013. Born in Honolulu, he was the first Japanese-American from Hawaii to graduate from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. After 20 years of active duty, he retired as a lieutenant colonel. He then worked as a Systems Analyst for the Indiana Highway Department. Preceded in death by his wife Jane N. Ikeda, he is survived by son, Robert Ikeda; daughters, Debra Ikeda, Mary Griffith (Daniel); grandchildren, Heather White (Michael), Marcus Ikeda (Allison); and sisters, Florence Yasuda, Nora Inaba. Services to be held: 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 11 at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl. Casual attire. No flowers.
