Harold Toshio Oie, “Bolo Head”
HAROLD TOSHIO OIE, BOLO HEAD 91 of Honolulu, passed away on September 27, 2013 at Queen's Medical Center. He was born in South Hilo. He is survived by his wife, Kazuyo; son, Myron (Sharon); daughters, Stephanie Asato (Wallace), Chiaki Oie; daughter -in-law, Leatrice Oie; 5 grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; brother, Joel (Faye) Oie; sisters, Hisako Yokomizo, Gail Sakata (Hiroaki), Betty Hamamoto (Yoshiaki) of Hilo, Esther Toves (Frank) of Honolulu; predeceased by son Stephen. Harold was very proud of his Military Service. He was an Army Captain, served in WWII and the Korean war with the Military Intelligence Specialist unit. We will truly miss him. Private services held.
