WENDELL “JOE” WONWENDELL JOE WON Loving husband, dad, papa, uncle, and dear friend, passed away peacefully at home in Makakilo, HI. He graduated from St. Louis College, Class of 1951. Enlisted in the United States Air Force and retired as Master Sergeant with 23 year of service. Served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was employed at the U.S. Postal Service and retired as Supervisor after 26 years. Joe's great passion was golf and was a member of the St. Louis Alumni Golf Club. For the past 13 years, Joe and his wife Carolyn volunteered twice a week as Coordinators of the St. Jude Catholic Church Outreach/Food Pantry Ministry. They were both committed to this ministry wholeheartedly. Survived by his first love and the love of his life, Carolyn Beck Won; Stepchildren; Keola (Sara) Lloyd, Granddaughter Erin, Grandson Ryan; Queenie (Bernie Toi) Lam Ho, Grandson Kahiau; Sons; Glen (Tammy) Won, Eugene Won; Daughters; Kelly (Larry) Johnson, Tracy Williams, Vivian Lanham, Kelly Langman; Sisters; Lauren (Manuel) Rodrigues, Jasmine Won. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 92-455 Makakiko Dr., Kapolei, HI; Celebration of Life and Eulogy 10:30 a.m., Mass at 11 a.m. Graveside services on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Hawaii State Veteran Cemetery in Kaneohe. Casual attire.
