Shinse Kise, 91, of Kohala, Hawaii, a retired Hamakua Sugar Co. plantation supervisor, employee for Kohala Sugar Co. and Hilo Coast Processing Co., and an Army veteran who served in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team Company E during World War II, died in North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was born in North Kohala, Hawaii. He is survived by sons Cyrus and Edwin; daughters Georgia Abe and Lydia Kinoshita; brothers Shintoku and Shinso; sisters Kazuko Kaneshina, Kikue Takaki and Tomie Brady; and 10 grandchildren. Visitation: 2 p.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 3 p.m. Cremation to follow. Additional visitation: 1 p.m. Oct. 26 at Kohala Hongwanji Mission. Services: 2 p.m. Casual attire. No flowers. No monetary offerings.
