ALFRED D. UPRICHARD Died Sept. 21, 2013, age 96. Born Feb. 3, 1917, in Spokane, Wash. Mechanical engineering degree, Gonzaga University, 1949. He was a marine engineer in the design division of Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, from 1950 till his retirement in 1979. Survived by sons Brett and Kimo Uprichard; stepsons Geoff and Steve Spence; a step-grandchild, Bryn Spence. The survivors' mother, Elizabeth Uprichard, died in 1983. Private services.
