Jarrett F. "Deke" Carr, 91, of Kailua, a retired Hawaiian Airlines pilot, owner of Carr's Carpet Cleaners and a Hawaii Air National Guard fighter pilot who served in World War II, died in Kailua. He was born in California. He is survived by wife Lou Esther, sons James and Steven, daughters Sharon Dailey and Barbara Uno, eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Celebration of life: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church. Inurnment: 11 a.m. Monday at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe. No flowers. Donations suggested to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or St. John Lutheran Church.
