Shinkichi Shimabukuro, 88, of Kapolei, a retired state Department of Education administrator and an Army veteran who served in the Korean War, died in Kapolei. He was born in Pahoa, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Betty Z., sons Terry and Randy, daughter Betty Perez, brother Shinsuke, sister Kikumi Goshi and seven grandchildren. Private services.
