James Nelson "Jim" La Fountaine, 63, of Wahiawa, a retired federal police officer at Pearl Harbor and an Army veteran, died at home. He was born in Tacoma, Wash. He is survived by wife Jacklyn Yoshida La Fountaine, son Bryan, daughter Daynna Jones, brothers Mark and Alex Jr., sisters Anna La Fountaine and Ginger Bailey, and three grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Thursday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 6 p.m. Burial: 3 p.m. Nov. 15 at Hawaiian Memorial Park. Casual attire.
