Brandon Anthony Kalani "Java" Javellana, 28, of Pahoa, Hawaii, a Navy veteran who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by father Clifford, mother Joan, stepmother Dawn, sister Nohelani, stepbrothers Aaron and Shane Paredes, stepsister Erica Paredes, grandparents Louis and Ethel Furtado, and step-grandparent Evelyn Stanley-Lovett. Visitation: 10 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Christian Fellowship, 840 Kupulau Road, Hilo. Services: 11 a.m. Graveside urn committal services: 9 a.m. Monday at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. No flowers.
