Ernest Pimental Soares, 90, of Honolulu, a pipe fitter and an Army veteran, died in St. Francis Hospice-West. He was born in Pepeekeo, Hawaii. He is survived by son Ernest R. Alvarez, daughters Elizabeth S. Dole and Ernestine Cabinatan, brother William, sister Violet, 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Thursday at Borthwick Mortuary.
